Kolio Karamfilov /

HOMO LUDENS

The works of Kolio Karamfilov are constantly changing, fueled by the clashbetween figurative and abstract art. Homo Ludens or "the playing man" in his paitings, sculptures and drawings demystify art proceeding to issue a clear artistic transparent manner. His painting is an expression of the author's understabding of art as an art environment, but it is also a critique of the preoccupation, which surrounds each art activity, as well as an analisis of the possibilities of art to depicts social problems. These themes are manifested early in his figurative works. The selection of colors corresponds to the deliberate unwillingness to make any moral or art evaluation of themes and objects in his works, nevertheless it is about a portrait, images of objects or scenes from everyday life. Before things happen, a man has already learned all about them, so what should we be excited about?
